CES 2014 | Mad Catz Announces New R.A.T. TE Gaming Mouse

The R.A.T. TE (for Tournament Edition) is the latest piece of hardware announced by Mad Catz Interactive at CES this year. As the name would suggest, this mouse is designed with the professional competitive scene directly in mind.

The R.A.T. TE is expected to ship early in 2014 for both PC and Mac. With a fancy new Phillips Doppler-laser sensor, this R.A.T. TE will provide up to 8200 DPI reference quality tracking.

The R.A.T. TE has been specifically engineered with mobility, performance, and precision in mind. To this effect, the weight has been decreased from previous models in order to decrease inertia. Speed and resolution have also been improved to provide faster reaction times. The R.A.T. TE also provides a multitude of programmable buttons, which are optimized for popular e-sports games. Professional gamers can even tweak the R.A.T. TE‘s attributes in such ways as “Lift-Off” height calibration or dynamic surface detection.

Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz says:

“We launched our original R.A.T. line of gaming mice four years ago, and we’re pleased to continue expanding this highly successful range with the announcement of the Tournament Edition model. The R.A.T.TE is another example of our ongoing commitment to building high performance hardware for the passionate gaming community.”
