CD Projekt Red and Dark Horse Comics Announce The World of the Witcher

CD PROJEKT RED and Dark Horse Comics are proud to announce The World of The Witcher–an essential companion to The Witcher video game series.

Franchise Director of CD PROJEKT RED, Rafal Jaki has said:

The World of The Witcher is really unique, as it’s the first successful attempt at creating such a comprehensive compendium about the Witcher series of games and beyondI’m sure gamers and fans of the universe will have tons of fun reading it,”

The World of The Witcher is, essentially, an art book containing a slew of original work that is meant to go along with the Witcher game series. To accompany the art, it also has a bevy of information about the characters, places, and monsters of the Witcher canon. Players should find this work a solid way to get into the Witcher franchise, as well as a way to really learn all the gritty details about the world.

Nick McWhorter, VP of licensing at Dark Horse Comics adds:

Dark Horse is very enthusiastic about expanding our collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED with The World of The Witcher. This book is a perfect way for fans to take a deep dive into the vast and compelling lore RED has created with The Witcher franchise, whether they are longtime followers of the games and novels or are being introduced to this world for the first time,”

If this sounds like your jam, you can head over to Amazon.com to pre-order The World of the Witcher right now. It’s listed at $27.10 and said to be releasing March 17, 2015. That sounds like a long ways off, but if you like art books, it is at least not a terrible price point.
