Cars: 2 The Video Game – Your Favorite Heroes Are Now International Spies.

This June, the game developers at Avalanche Software give a whole new meaning to the term “Chrome.” Cars 2: The Video Game takes us on a fast and wild ride with our old hero, Lightning McQueen, and some fresh new faces. Chrome (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage) is the international training center, in which you’ll find yourself working towards becoming a world-class spy. In Cars 2, you’ll be given plenty of cool spy gadgets to use for survival when carrying out top-secret missions to save the world. Avalanche Software made it a point to stay true to the “Cars” originality, but put a spin on things by introducing the characters to the world of combat racing, thus creating this “entire authentic cars universal experience” says Producer, John Day.

Within this action-packed adventure, you’ll be able to:

• Choose from more than 20 different characters, such as Mater, Lightning McQueen and the newly introduced Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell, and train to become world class spies

• Participate in simulated hazardous missions using high-tech gadgets to evade and impede adversaries

• Perform maneuvers only Cars characters can do, such as backwards driving, air tricks, sidestepping to avoid obstacles, two wheel driving and more

• Connect with World of Cars Online, a free-to-play browser-based virtual world based on the Cars universe, to gain rewards in the video game and then use them to unlock new items in the virtual world

*You can find more specifications, and the bullets listed above on gamestop.com, as well as Cars 2 videos and screen shots.

The release date for Cars 2: The Video Game is June 21rst, and you will be able to find this title on the PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, and the Nintendo DS.  Don’t forget to keep checking in with us for the latest news and updates on your favorite video games, as well as, Cars 2.
