Capcom Announces Remember Me's Release Date

Capcom’s Remember Me has been given an official release date. The futuristic, mind-altering drama is set to release on June 4th (US), 6th (AUS) and 7th (UK) for PS3, 360 and PC.

Remember Me takes place in Paris in the year 2084 where the technology to extract
and alter memories has been discovered, and where mercenaries are hired to steal the
minds of targets for the black market. Nilin, the game’s protagonist, has had her
memories removed and ironically is an ex-memory hunter herself. Nilin was the best at this particular line of work because rather than simply stealing memories she was capable of manipulating, or remixing, them and retelling a person their life.

After falling from being the best mind ninja to being left memory-less, the thought that
perhaps she shouldn’t know exactly who she was is sparked. In the trailer she asks
herself, “Am I really that dangerous?” As Nilin you venture with the ability to “take what someone is, to rewrite their history, and to play God” in an effort to uncover who you are, your past and why your memory was erased in the first place.

Armed with a beautiful futuristic dystopian setting, thought probing themes and a
promising lead character, new developer Dontnod Entertainment has certainly grabbed
my attention. Take a look at the release date trailer above and for upcoming news
regarding Remember Me be sure to check back here at TGF.
