Capcom Announces New Multiplayer Modes for Lost Planet 3

Okay, so it’s been a couple weeks since our last announcement about Lost Planet 3. Are you over having to wait until the end of August for its release yet? Maybe some news about its multiplayer content will hold you over until then.

Capcom has provided us with details and screenshots of two of the four new multiplayer modes featured in the latest installment of the game, Scenario Mode and Akrid Survival. Spanning over six different maps, you’ll be able to side with the Snow Pirates or join the NEVEC forces.

Both first person and third person combat POVs are available in Scenario Mode, which has players donning Vital Suits to head against or defend their teams in the dangerous and frigid environment of E.D.N. III.

In Akrid Survival, you and two others will run a gauntlet against hordes of the aggressive alien life form that inhabit E.D.N. III, and see how your team steps up to the challenge compared to another three-person alliance who has faced the same challenges. The two teams will find themselves battling for the best score in an elimination based player-versus-player round. Screenshots from Akrid Survival mode can be found below.

Lost Planet 3 is coming to the US on August 27, 2013 (and August 30 for Europe) on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Be on top of the world with all the latest Lost Planet 3 news at http://lostplanetcommunity.com/.
