The season officially starts on December 7th, but there was an invitational tournament that took place at PSX in from December 3-4. The eight teams competing in the PSX: Invitational Tournament were Elevate, eUnited, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, Luminosity Gaming, Orbit, Renegades, Rise Nation.

The event is going to be followed by another tournament, but this time it’s open for everyone. From December 16-18 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, a place where many gaming tournaments have taken place within the past year.

There are tons of things that are in the new Call of Duty World League season. Including four local area network tournaments, a worldwide LAN league for professional players, and system that allows players to earn CWL Pro Points to qualify for the CWL Championship in August.

The four LAN competitions will be taking place in Las Vegas from December 16-18, Atlanta from February 10-12, Anaheim from June 16-18, and an unknown date and time for the last competition. They also said that they’d like to expand the COD spirit globally allowing fans from Europe and Asia-Pacific to compete in LAN battles, and will be releasing information on that soon.

What could they be planning for the last spectacular? Hopefully they will release some more information on that soon, be sure to stay tuned to The Game Fanatics for more updates on Call of Duty World League.
