The day for us PlayStation and PC gamers is finally coming! That’s right; on September 26th, the fourth and final Call of Duty: Black Ops II map pack will be available to all PlayStation 3 users and PC owners.
The Apocalypse Map Pack includes the maps Dig, Frost, Pod, and Takeoff, as well as a new Zombies experience that takes players back in time and reunites them with a few old friends from Call of Duty: World at War.
“An adaptation of the fan-favorite “Courtyard” from Call of Duty®: World at War, where two archaeological dig sites in Afghanistan become the perfect playground for combatants eager for hectic, unceasing confrontations. Treyarch, has retained the spirit of “Courtyard” with two major chokepoints, a wide open layout and raised platforms, but has provided fans with a fresh take on the multitude of paths.”
“Fresh snow meets explosive gunpowder in this snow-capped European city, where the bridge over a frozen canal separates it into two sides, requiring players to employ multi-level traversal strategies to outsmart and ultimately outshoot their enemies.”
“A failed Utopian community from the 70’s has left stacks of dilapidated residential pods nestled into an abandoned cliff side in Taiwan. Its residents long gone, the modernist compound now hosts frenetic combat as players must run atop the pods, as well as navigate their multi-tiered interiors for a strategic edge. “
“Fans of “Stadium” from the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops First Strike DLC will find themselves at home on “Takeoff.” Marooned in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, this remote launch site is all about close-quarters combat, combining tight corners with open spaces for intense encounters.”
Origins
In this epic conclusion to the Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombie experience(s), Origins takes players back to a “dieselpunk-style” World War I France, where hordes of the undead are taking over. If you’ve played Call of Duty: World at War, then you may recognize your surroundings and your cohorts, as you and your teammates will become four of Call of Duty‘s older heroes: Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen.
The Apocalypse Map Pack will be available for $14.99 on September 26th. Also, don’t forget Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on November 5th, so be sure to pre-order your copy now!
