Black Ops II's Apocalypse DLC Hits Xbox Live Today

Fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be happy to hear that the latest DLC pack, Apocalypse, is now available on Xbox Live. The new pack contains four new maps, and one new zombie level. The multiplayer maps are a mix of old and new, with remakes joining the mix. The first map, Pods, is a failed utopian community built into a cliff side. Frost is a snow-covered European city, and the two remakes are Takeoff, based on the Stadium map from the original Black Ops’ First Strike pack, and Dig, an updated version of Call of Duty: World at War’s Courtyard.

The zombies map harkens back to World at War, too, by bringing back the original four heroes in a new “Dieselpunk-stylized World War 1-era France.” This promises to be the most imaginative of the Zombie maps thus far. Check out the screens and new trailer below.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse is available now for $14.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, or free for season pass holders. The pack will come to other platforms at a later date. No release date has been announced for the Playstation 3 or PC versions of the expansion.
