Big Changes Coming to Paragon with the Monolith Update

Paragon

December 6 signals the arrival of the next big Paragon update, Monolith. It brings a brand new map to the game and tons of gameplay and hero changes.

We are six weeks away from receiving what seems to be the most important Paragon patch up to date. Its name is Monolith and it does bring way more of changes to the game than ever before. Next to a new smaller map, Epic Games is preparing big changes to the core gameplay and also tweaking all their heroes while they are at it. “The Monolith Update represents the culmination of the past year of learning, testings, playings, feedbackings, and talkings,” they tell us on their last blog post. But don’t you worry, my friend: Paragon remains essentially a very good-looking and engaging MOBA.

Paragon’s Monolith in a Nutshell

So what’s in stock for all of us, Paragon fans? Well, basically a faster and more action-oriented gameplay than everything we have been playing until now. Monolith is bringing faster movement speed, ability and execution speed for all heroes to start with, followed by some changes on the way damage, armor, health and mana work overall. If you were hindered sometimes by ability cooldowns, you may want to know that they have reduced drastically their values, therefore reactivating the usage of mana in order to balance abilities. If you care for some concrete details, head to their official blog entry.

Monolith also brings tweaks to all heroes inside the game beyond the realm of cooldowns and speed. Yep, every single one of those charismatic peeps has been rebalanced. However, we’ll need to wait a tad more to receive any concrete specifics although Epic Games promises us to reveal them when the time is due. Not for too long, in any case, since Monolith is arriving on December 6 already. Will you be there to try it out?
