Bethesda Game Studios is opening up a new studio in Quebec, Montreal to further development in PC and mobile games.
Bethesda Studios Montreal already has a team of forty developers being lead by Yves Lachance, and are looking to add more to the team in the near future. Lachance said this about the newly announced studio, “We are thrilled to be launching the studio in Montreal and contributing to our city’s great game-making talent to the kind of games that Bethesda Game Studios is known for.”
Todd Howard, game director and and executive producer, said, “It’s exciting to be thinking about the new games we’ll be building together.” There’s no word on what Bethesda Games Studios Montreal will be working on. Possible some DLC for Fallout 4? Or mobile titles? The current size of the studio makes me think they could possibly be working on a mobile experience, especially after Fallout Shelter set the mobile world on…fire — I’m sorry for that terrible, unfunny, referential, lazy, predictable joke.
If you’re a game developer interested in creating new titles with the storied Bethesda Game Studios, more information about available positions at the new Montreal location can be found here.
