Prepare to deploy! EA has confirmed today that the Battlefield 4 multiplayer beta for the current console generation will begin October 1 for some and October 4th for all.
In order to get access starting October 1st, you’ll need to be a part of one of the following groups: members of Battlefield 3 Premium, owners of the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited or Digital Deluxe edition, or have a pre-order for the Digital Deluxe Version of Battlefield 4. On October 4th, everyone else on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 will be able to download the beta from their online stores.
The multiplayer beta for Battlefield 4 will include one map, Siege of Shanghai, which will be available to play in two of the seven different game modes. The options will be Conquest, which is the main multiplayer mode as in previous iterations of Battlefield that involves two teams competing against each other for capture points with decreasing amounts of respawns for the players. The second game mode being included in the beta will be Domination, which is a more aggressive and fast paced version of Conquest that will require more strategy in order to win the battle.
It should be noted that the Siege of Shanghai map was the same from the E3 show floor in June.
