The cast for the highly anticipated new entry in the Telltale Games stable, Batman-The Telltale Series, was just revealed along with a number of screenshots which are our first look at the game.
Batman-The Telltale Series will feature voiceover legend Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Telltale favorite Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant Gordon. Vicki Vale and Carmine Falcone will also play roles in the plot and will be played by Erin Yvette and Richard McGonagle (recently seen reprising his role as Victor Sullivan in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) respectively.
The fact that Harvey Dent is not yet Two-Face and that Jim Gordon is not yet the police commissioner indicates that this may be early in Batman’s career as the Dark Knight. More characters and actors will be announced later. Hopefully, we’ll get to see lesser known Gotham characters early in their heroic/villainous appearances, and that the game does a better job with an early adaptation of the city than the sometimes shoddily executed television series, Gotham.
It will be interesting to see how Telltale balances the time spent as Bruce Wayne and as the Bat seeing as how the latter is most often portrayed as the real identity while Bruce is the mask. Personally, I can’t wait to answer every question with Batman’s signature silent grimace.
Batman-The Telltale Series will be on the E3 showfloor in LA this week, and realeases later this summer on all major consoles.
