A season pass has been announced for Batman: Arkham Origins. This pass will allow you to get a bunch of content (thirty dollars worth) for $19.99. Specifically, it gives the player access five of the upcoming planned DLC. First up are skins from Gotham by Gaslight and Brightest Day. Next up is the New Millennium Skins Pack. Third up is a pack of Skins from Infinite Earth. You also get the Initiation Challenge Map, where you play as Bruce before he became Batman. Lastly, there’s an unannounced story addition, likely similar to Harley’s Revenge in Arkham City. If you like skins and extra content, it may not be a bad deal.
Season passes are always a gamble. It’s a good opportunity to save some money, but on the other hand you don’t know if what you’re buying is worth the money. Also, I can’t have a nagging annoyance at Day One DLC, but that’s a different rant. For now, if you preorder or buy the season pass at launch, you’ll get a bunch of content at 2/3rds the price. Look for Batman: Arkham Origins next month on the 25th for all major platforms.
