In late May Asus announced the Padfone, and earlier leaks have suggested that it would be released with a Qualcomm MSM8960 processor. Those leaks may be wrong as a very confident Nicole Scott from netbooknews.com claims to have it on good authority that the ASUS Padfone will be launching at MWC 2012, and that it will be sporting NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood.
Right now we can only take this with a grain of salt as with all rumors, but if this is true that means we could possibly see this device next month at CES 2012. It also means that Asus has a lot of plans for Tegra 3.
