App of the Week Rundown 02: Mighty Fin

Mighty Fin is the ultimate, hooking, underwater adventure, suitable for all ages and available (only) on the iPod Touch and iPhone.  Diving deep into the murky seas, you control Fin as he splashes and dashes to avoid obstacles, achieve high scores, and collect new items to add to his wardrobe.

You can customize Fin with some pretty stylish disguises, and as you progress, more of these items become accessible to you.  Some of the costumes included are:

  • Bouffant
  • Afro (Hair Pick Included)!
  • Ear Muffs
  • Top Hat w/ Monocle
  • Bunny Ears
  • & a bunch of other cool costumes you’ve got to play to see!

For each “map” in Mighty Fin, there are 3 modes:  Normal, Endless, and Survival.  Normal Mode takes you through the regular routine; a level with an ending… and be sure to stay alert and dodge whatever gets in your way!  Endless mode gives you infinite time to tire your reflexes and score as high as you can, and Survival speeds up with every minute you’re alive, until you just can’t handle it anymore.  For each mode, there are 3 medals: bronze, silver, and gold.  Collect as many bubbles as possible, and achieve certain scores to capture these medals, as well as unlock more costumes for Fin!

Mighty Fin also links up with the Game Center allowing you to compete and compare scores with other players, and shows your world ranking!  To keep track of your medals and achievements, simply click on the “Rewards” button (in game) to see a spread of all your hard work.  Mighty Fin is addictive, endless fun, and the perfect mobile app to entertain yourself with… anywhere!

Features:

  • Lite Version available
  • Available in the iTunes store for $0.99
  • Compatible with iPad/Great 2x resolution
  • Game Center Compatibilities
