Anonymous has its sights set on its next target.
It’s Sony, once again.
You’ll remember Anonymous as the same guys who brought down the PSN earlier this year.
In the video (included below), Anonymous condemns Sony for supporting SOPA, which they say threatens Internet freedom and a bad move for Sony themselves, considering they themselves would not be exempt from SOPA. As a result, claims Anonymous:
“…we have decided to destroy your network…”
The “network” they’re referencing, I assume, would be the PSN. Again. I wouldn’t be surprised if Anonymous was able to bring down the PSN as they’ve done it before, and they’re probably still able to do it, despite the new security measures that I’m sure Sony has put up. I wonder if this means that Anonymous will be attacking other companies that also have supported SOPA, such as Microsoft and Nintendo? Or is Anonymous planning for that, but are sure that they can penetrate Sony’s defenses?
Be prepared for another long while of PSN outages folks. Anonymous has warned us. We’ll see if they deliver:
