Today on October 22, 2012, AMD have announced a brand new plan to reassert their place in the graphics card (gpu) market, by offering gamers bundle deals to some of the latest and greatest games yet to be released on the PC. These games include Far Cry 3, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, and Medal of Honor: Warfighter, all titles that have buzzed around people’s minds for months now.
Their plan codenamed “The Never Settle Game Bundle and Driver” doesn’t end there. AMD will also be rolling out a brand new driver that will give major performance improvements in games such as Battle Field 3, and will coincide with the upcoming Windows 8 launch from Microsoft.
I’m a bit skeptical when it comes to performance increases from drivers especially considering some of the bugs that tend to happen when their first released to the public. So admittedly I’ll wait before I update my dinosaur of card from AMD.
