It seems like the only thing stopping Warner Bros. from releasing a Justice League movie was the rights to Superman, and Warner Bros. seems to have won the dispute in court against the heir and co-creator of Superman, Joe Shuster. Aside from that, the script has already been written, The Man of Steel, directed by Watchmen and Sucker Punch director, Zack Snyder, is in the works. All that’s left is to find a director for the Justice League film. If all goes according to plan, the film should be released sometime in 2015, while also leaving an opportunity open for a follow up Superman movie to The Man of Steel.
There’s also speculation that the Justice League movie will begin a series of branching spin-off’s for other DC Comics super heroes. The Man of Steel‘s, Henry Cavill, will also be playing Superman in the Justice League movie. As of right now, it doesn’t look like Christian Bale will don the mask of The Dark Knight for the Justice League. Hopefully, someone can fill his shoes and do the role justice (Eh, get it? Justice?)
