Earlier this month, Capcom confirmed that we’ll all be getting our hands on the new Resident Evil 6 demo for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this September 18th. This demo, however, is due to have different content to that which was in the demo exclusively for those who bought Dragon’s Dogma.
Players will be able to jump right into the game’s three main campaigns whether they want to take it on solo or partner up with a friend via online co-op and experience first hand why it’s one of this year’s most anticipated titles. Players will be able to choose from being either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper while exploring the dark walls of Ivy University with victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.
In Lanshiang, you get to run through the streets for Jake’s mission as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the J’avo — even their fully mutated forms. While fighting off the swarms, remember to use Jake’s special hand-to-hand combat and Sherry’s stun baton to help you in your struggle to survive.
Showcasing Resident Evil 6‘s global setting, when players take on Chris Redfield and Piers Nivan’s head to the streets of war torn Edonia. Even with fellow BSAA members, the hordes of J’avo forces still provide a tough challenge. I won’t say what happens when the 3-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the fun party though. If you want to pick off your enemies or just switch up your weapons loadout different from Chris’ , change over to Piers who’s lugging around a sniper rifle with a thermal scope and watch the J’avo skulls rip open with each bullet.
Resident Evil 6 will be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 across North America and Europe on October 2. PC owners who want their hands on the game will have to wait for just a bit long. It’ll follow soon after.
