SteelSeries has announced that they will be making a World of Warcraft branded wireless mouse (co-designed with Blizzard). This new mouse will feature eleven buttons, an ergonomic grip designed for maximum comfort, and pulsating lights. It looks rather awesome. The mouse will use the SteelSeries Engine to set up and configure, making it easy to set up the buttons, bind macros and abilities, and several different button layouts. If your current mouse is lacking functionality that would benefit your World of Warcraft playing, you’ll definitively want to check this out.
The mouse’s docking station doubles as a charger, and receiver, a rather handy feature. The battery should last for about sixteen hours of use and charges in an hour. It will be compatible with both Windows and Macintosh systems.
Additional technical specifications:
- Frames Per Second: 12,000
- Counts Per Inch: 8,200
- Lift distance: 2mm – 5mm
- Battery type: Lithium Ion
The World of Warcraft Mouse from SteelSeries will be available this year during Q3. It will be available from the SteelSeries Web Shop, and will retail for $129.99 / €129.99. SteelSeries has a record of very solid products. If you play World of Warcraft, you’ll want to give this a shot. For more information, check out SteelSeries’s website.
