Today HTC has launched Viveport, an app store for virtual reality fans across all global regions. The HTC Viveport store puts a focus on some of the best content available for the HTC Vive. HTC Viveport will have VR games, however it will also seek to spotlight experiences across different mediums. Art, creativity tools, design, education, fashion, music, and sports apps populate the store. Although previously only available the China, HTC Viveport wants to allow content creators from across the globe to connect and engage with a fast-growing VR audience. HTC believes Viveport is the place where many will begin their VR experience.
The HTC Viveport store includes an updated Everest VR, Google Spotlight Stories’ Pearl, Lifeliqe, as well as many more. Currently there are 60 titles in the store including a dozen that have been available only in Asia. To promote the store, HTC is holding a 48-hour sale with select titles available for only $1. Discounted titles include Mars Odyssey, Firebird:La Peri, and theBlu.
The store also includes the Viveport Community, where you can join and connect with other VR fans and content creators. Vive Home, a customized personal space is also available where you can experience streaming media with the new web browser widget. Viveport Premiers also allows you to experience the best new content from top VR creators, which launch first on Viveport.
