Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is getting a new character. On July 9th, the Dead or Alive Festival culminated with the introduction of character Mia Shiranui of SNK’s classic, The King of Fighters.
DOA is a series best known for its anime-style and voluptuous characters. In this regard, Mai does not disappoint. Mai is a ninja, most notably seen wielding paper fans and sporting a revealing ensemble — which should seamlessly integrate her with DOA5’s combat roster.
What’s more promising is that she brings to bear the ability of pyrokinesis — the ability to create and manipulate fire. How Team NINJA plans to use this ability isn’t known for sure; however, other characters in the series are known for having their own unique powers and abilities.

Slotted to fight her way to the roster in September of 2016, Mai will follow the game’s July 19th release of highly awaited costumes and stages from the popular manga/anime Attack on Titan.
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round’s March update saw the release of Naotora Li and the Samurai Warriors DLC. Mai is yet another addition anticipated to arrive along with costumes themed from her native game, The King of Fighters. The developers from Team Ninja have a great track-record for delivering DLC, making the series one with some of the most variety in the genre.
