Life is Strange Episode 5 will be taking a little longer to brew than other episodes.
DONTNOD Entertainment, through Square Enix’s blog, has unleashed their pre-storm warning for the finale of their running episodic series. The post reveals, tentatively, that the team is aiming for an October 20 release across the usual platforms. That date comes with an asterisk as anything can happen in video game development, but the team is “super excited” to have everyone play their conclusive chapter.
The wait for Life is Strange Episode 5, officially called Polarized, will be the longest between chapters thus far. Dark Room took Max into some appropriately uncomfortable areas and scenarios, leading to plenty of questions for this ultimate episode to answer. The delay, the post says, is for the episode to be “the best it can be,” pointing to the extra development time being used for some extra layers of polish.
This early announcement comes on a special day to those in DONTNOD and lovers of main character, Max Caulfield. Today is her birthday in game with this release announcement serving as an indirect celebration/gift combination.
Life is Strange Episode 5 is supposedly coming October 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. To catch up, you can see our review of Episode 4 here.
