Yesterday there was a big mix up with reports from various websites. Some first reported that the company had sold 4.1 million units of the PS3 Move, but upon closer inspection of their story they realized they were mistaken. The company had actually shipped 4.1 million units worldwide, a very big difference from selling.
Shipping figures of PlayStation Eye and the sub-controller for the time PS Move was released weren’t given. The Eye is essential to use Move, while the sub-controller isn’t mandatory.
It comes on the back of figures from Microsoft last night, announcing it had sold 2.5 million Kinect units since its launch earlier this month worldwide.
The Playstation Move launched in Europe and US back in September before releasing in October in Japan.
