While at SXSW we stumbled upon this gem by Leap Motion. The Leap Motion Controller is a gesture-based controlling device that will be used on either your Mac or your PC. In 2012, Leap Motion released videos showing the intricacy of their technology by following all 10 fingers Measuring in at (79 x 30 x 11mm) this controller is a small device that packs some serious skills. They say great things come in small packages and we definitely agree when it comes to the Leap Motion Controller.
If you follow The Game Fanatics you’ve probably seen our coverage on the Kinect. Microsoft came in and revolutionized our at home game systems. Well The Leap ups the ante by using infrared optics whereas The Kinect uses depth sensors. Other facts about The Leap Motion controller, is it is one of the first devices to use USB 3.0 Micro-B port and it only uses about 2% of a CPU’s capabilities to work. Leap Motion is here to now change the way we interact with our everyday gadgets.
