20 Black Cosplayers to Follow Right Now

Here’s to you, black cosplayers! The lovely melinated nerds who stay up late working on their craft, glue and paint on your hands. You amazing creatives who despite everything can still make beautiful costumes no matter your skill level or budget. While the “mainstream” of cosplay coverage still is skewed towards white, fit, able-bodied, and traditionally attractive creators, we celebrate those outside the mold. I write this article as a hope for a future cosplay community that is more diverse and acknowledges it as such. I truly believe that is what #28DaysofCosplay is about. While I am only posting a set amount of cosplayers, there are hundreds of black cosplayers to check out! For a full list, compiled by Petite Ebby Cosplay click here.
