Mantis Burn Racing Invites You to Burn Rubber on October 12th

Been itching to go fast? Mantis Burn Racing has got you covered.

Developer VooFoo Studios will be releasing their first self-published game–Mantis Burn Racing–on October 12, 2016. The game has been getting a lot of aatention recently, including being shortlisted as a finalist for the TIGA Games Industry Awards for this year.

What is Mantis Burn Racing?

Mantis Burn Racing is a top-down isometric racing sim reminiscent of slot-car racers. Sure, that probably doesn’t sound like much, but VooFoo is at least doing their best to provide plenty of content for those who enjoy this style of game.

For those who enjoy racing solo, Mantis Burn Racing will feature a career mode that spans seven seasons (approximately 20+ hours). Throughout the campaign, you’ll be able to upgrade your ride through an extensive RPG-style system which will allow you to improve the look and performance of your racing machine. There are also nine game modes including Time Trial to mix things up.

If you plan on having friends over, you might interest them in some split-screen. Up to four players can play on a single TV or monitor, and you can connect with up to eight players online for octane-fueled mayhem.

As far as graphics go, Mantis Burn Racing will be one of the first games available in 4K definition on the PS4 Pro and will be running at 60 FPS. The original soundtrack focuses on electronic music, and the game will be receiving regular free updates in addition to paid DLC.

What do you think, dear readers? Will you be checking this game out? Or do you think Mantis Burn Racing will crash and burn? Let us know in the comments below!
