Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Confirmed to Have PC Modding and Mapping Tools

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Treyarch has announced that in 2016, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans can unleash their creativity with a modding and mapping tool kit on PC.

According to their blog, this tool kit is still currently being worked on but Treyarch has graciously revealed the details surrounding their first modding kit for Call of Duty.

The studio mentions in their blog that this modding and mapping kit for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will, of course, give players the tools they need to create their own game mods and maps. Included in this Call of Duty modding kit will be Unranked Dedicated Server Files that you may use to run your own servers with your created modded content. Along with being able to run your own server, they’ve has included an Unranked Server Browser so that players can easily find the server that all of their friends are on and join up with them. Treyarch predicts that the closed alpha date for this Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 modding kit will be March of 2016.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Treyarch closed the blog issuing a casual warning for players, reminding them that this is still in development. Some of the features that are listed above may not make it to the final product or they may be improved and changed around. Players should expect that with every alpha and beta test, improvements will be made to the product and Treyarch will not make an exception with this Call of Duty tool kit.

So Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans on the PC, look out for the Alpha test this coming March. What do you guys think of this announcement? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
