Drive Into These PlayStation Plus Offerings for October

The PlayStation Plus lineup for October has been released and it seems Sony has outdone themselves again with same day releases.

Three titles are being released on PlayStation Plus the same day they go up on PlayStation NetworkDust: An Elysian Tail (PS4), Spelunky (PS4), and Pix the Cat (PS Vita). There’s also the DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition, which offers players 11 tracks, 10 cars, and all game modes as a very thorough teaser meant to encourage the purchase of the full game for $49.99 USD. The lineup doesn’t stop there. Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3), Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (PS3), and Rainbow Moon (PS3 and PS Vita) round out the substantial list.

DriveClub
DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition makes its appearance this month. Will it inspire more purchases of the full game? Yeah.

This is a fairly generous month for PlayStation Plus and Sony is driving home the value of the service with great lineups like this. There’s a little something for everyone in October with RPG, platforming, arcade, beat’em up, stealth action, and racing genres represented. In addition, indie titles are continuing to see representation on the big stage.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
“Origins never happened, you got that?” Forget the forgettable and return to the the best with Batman: Arkham Asylum this month.

So what do you think, has Sony‘s offerings this month appeased both you and your wallet? This may be a little out of left field, but I believe the success of PlayStation Plus as a subscription based service seems to be at least part of the impetus behind EA Access, so are you interested in their streaming service? Feel free to leave us with some of your thoughts on this month’s PlayStation Plus lineup and subscription based services in general.
