Tom Hanks’s new animated series “Electric City”, set in the post-apocalypse and features a dystopian city dubbed Electric City, has been picked up by Yahoo!. Yes, when I say dystopian, I mean the whole she-bang: secret police, disappearing folks, violence, and all the other fun things that would make George Orwell proud.
The 90-minute series is going to be shown in multiple parts as an online video series on Yahoo!. It will be available on mobile devices and available in different languages for accessibility. Yahoo! will also be working with Playtone and Reliance Entertainment, the lovely folks who carried out Tom Hanks’s vision for “Electric City” to create an online interactive experience to go with the video series.
