Major Nelson went to his blog today to announce more than 45 apps are making their way to the Xbox One in time for the June update releasing today.
These apps will bring the console’s count to over 225, with a big focus on Twitter’s new features for the Xbox One.
“One addition I’d like to highlight is the way Twitter will be integrated into Xbox One’s TV experience,” Nelson said. “U.S. viewers will have the ability to see Tweets related to whatever cable or satellite TV shows you’re watching as they’re happening.” Take a look at the video to see Twitter’s new features in action on the Xbox One.

Microsoft may be announcing this before E3 to allow for an all-games presentation as Xbox Wire encourages readers to watch Microsoft’s conference. “And tune in next Monday, June 9th for the Xbox E3 briefing where we’ll be showing everything from in-depth looks at highly anticipated games to blazing hot trailers of brand new titles launching this year and beyond. We’ll see if Microsoft talks about the 45 new apps or strictly games at E3 next week.
