WWE 2K17 Announced; Goldberg To Appear as Pre-Order Bonus

It wasn’t until a couple of days ago that World Wrestling Entertainment, also simply known as WWE, recently sent out a couple of vague and mysterious tweets on Twitter with the hashtag #Hatch. Fans initially thought it was a return of a superstar, but we got something a little better: WWE 2K17. What’s even better than that: Bill Goldberg.

Yes, there will be indeed a WWE 2K17 released by developers at 2K, who are most notorious for their NBA 2K series. The date for the game and all the details have not been unveiled just yet, but Bill Goldberg, one of the biggest WWE and WCW competitors in wrestling history, will be included in the games as a special pre-order bonus.

This is interesting considering that WWE and Goldberg hasn’t been on very great terms following his initial run with the company after WWE bought WCW. The inclusion of the master of the jackhammer – his signature finishing move – could mean that the relationship is slowly but surely reviving.

As for the game itself, there’s not a lot to talk about as – again – there hasn’t been that much information released. Personally for me, a mode dedicated mode to NXT or the addition of more NXT talent on what should already be a huge roster would be magnificent in WWE 2k17. But like the good ol’ Jim Ross always says, anything is can happen in the WWE.
