Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine Launch Trailer Sees the Beloved Witcher on His Last Contract

The Witcher 3

We’re a week away until the launch of Witcher 3’s second major expansion, Blood and Wine, and developer CD Projekt RED has dropped a bombastic launch trailer to hold us over. It’s fantastic.

What more can be said about this expansive, beautiful region of Toussaint? Untouched by the nasty war roaring through the Northern Realms, the duchy is home to beautiful vineyard, fair maidens, and plenty of festivities. But something dark lies beneath the surface, and Geralt of Rivia will undergo his last great contract in a narrative that will test his mettle more so than ever before.

“With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night,” states the video’s blurb. “Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.

It’s all come to this. In six days, the White Wolf’s journey will come to an end, and CDPR has shown Witcher 3 will go out in the best possible way.
