This Week In Games: Dance Central 2!

Oh my god. Oh my god. The biggest game this week is for sure Dance Central 2. Without a doubt. I can’t wait to dust off my Kinect and make a fool of myself with friends. Or maybe I want to return to Dreamland and play with Kirby. I’ll get that chance as I dust off my Wii and play Kirby’s Return to Dreamland.  Lots of dusting off this week!

And some game named Battlefield 3; no way that will be popular. Nope. None. At all.

Here’s the rundown for this week’s biggest releases:

Battlefield 3 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) It’s finally here. The return of one of the greatest FPS franchises of all time is back and, for the first time ever, get’s a proper release on consoles. No, I don’t count Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. My PC is all upgraded and ready to go. In addition, we’ll be getting a full fledged campaign for the first time ever in a Battlefield game. But everyone will be too busy playing through the multiplayer to even care.

Dance Central 2 (Xbox 360 Kinect) Harmonix is back with more Kinect fun with Dance Central 2, featuring 44 new songs, including more Lady Gaga, an assortment of Top 40 hits, and Sandstorm. Yes, that Sandstorm. Oh, and Daft Punk too. That should be enough of a reason to buy it alone.

Kirby’s Return to Dreamland (Wii) This is the first traditional Kirby game in 11 years. That’s a really long time, but Kirby’s been too busy being a paint brush or a piece of yarn. It’s the same Kirby gameplay we all know in love, but this time with the option of co-operative multiplayer.

Daytona USA (XBLA) Remember spending those countless childhood hours in the arcades playing Datyona USA? Now you can spend countless hours playing it over the Xbox Live Arcade. The 8 year old inside me is happy.

Kinect Sports Season Two (Xbox 360 Kinect) Wow, there’s a lot of Kinect love this week. Microsoft is pumping out some new sports for us to play in time for the holidays after we eat out turkey and drink our wine, so that when grandma yells at us for not being married yet, we can show off our epic skills at Kinect baseball. That should impress her, right? Hello?
