Watchdogs 2 Launches No Compromise DLC This April

No Compromise

The world of Watchdogs 2 is getting a tad wider with the addition of more DLC. The No Compromise DLC adds new story missions, new single player time trials with leaderboards, and more weapons to your arsenal. The story will pit Marcus against a very charismatic enemy group, the Russian mob. Players can find new ways to finish missions with the aid of two nonlethal weapons, the Air Shotgun, which can also move cars and other big objects, and the Taser Sniper Rifle.

No Compromise is arriving with an exclusivity window: on April 18 for PlayStation 4 owners and on May 18 for Xbox One and PC. If you are interested, you can have a first look by tuning into Ubisoft’s Spoiler Stream show at 10 AM PDT on April 13.

The Showdown Free Update

A new multiplayer mode called Showdown is also coming in April. Originally planned as part of the No Compromise DLC, it will be arriving as free content instead. Conceived as an endgame challenge, it pits two pairs of players against each other in multiple scenarios: Steal the HDD, Doomload (king of the hill-style), and Erase/Protect the Servers (domination mode). Showdown will take players to 15 different locations and will test their mettle with “dynamic hacking, shooting, driving and puzzle-solving challenges” said Ubisoft in a blog post.

On top of that, races are being added to multiplayer. Drone, motocross and eKart races will be playable online with leaderboards. Players will also get a free paintball gun. “[The paintball gun] can stun enemies, splash colors across the environment and temporarily splatter a paint effect across the screens of multiplayer opponents,” said Ubisoft.

Watchdogs 2’s free content schedule is delivering free updates in May and June as well. So there is plenty of content for Watchdogs 2 veterans as well as rookies. Are you looking forward to Marcus’ next hacking venture? Let us know in the comment section!
