Bandai Namco has released The Farm 51’s newest title: Get Even. The game is available digitally for PC (via Steam), PS4 and Xbox One for the low price of $29.99.
Get Even is a first person shooter/psychological thriller where players assumed the role of Cole Black. Black is a mercenary who awakens in a mysterious asylum with a nasty case of amnesia as he can’t remember anything from his past except one thing: a young girl in mortal danger.
Cole’s anonymous captor, known simply as “Red”, will guide the hired gun through a treatment with a unique technology: a headset, code-named Pandora, which allows Cole to relive his memories and go through them once more in the present time. Through this futuristic technology, the protagonist will encounter surprising plot twists in order to uncover the truth and remember his past.
Here’s what Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., had to say about this new psychological title:
“We’re excited for gamers to experience the taut psychological horror of GET EVEN. The Farm 51 team has created a multi-dimensional storyline that immerses players into a compelling and frightening mystery, making them question their perception of reality and justice. Intense action, chilling ambiance, and a tense musical score from award-winning composer Olivier Derivière come together to create an amnesiac nightmare that gamers won’t soon forget.”
The Farm 51 is a Polish studio that has quite a bit of experience with horror inspired gaming as they are mostly known for 2009’s PC exclusive horror shooter NecroVision, and its 2010 prequel, NecroVisioN: Lost Company.
