Watch Dogs: Current Gen vs. Next Gen is Night and Day

Ubisoft showed Aisha Tyler’s role in Watch Dogs in current-gen demo and revealed its shoddy graphics. I am disappoint.

I can tell you, it won't look even close to this on the PS3 or 360.
I can tell you, it won’t look even close to this on the PS3 or 360.

Usually this would not be an issue as the current generation systems are still pumping out top-notch titles and in terms of graphics we’re milking out some of the greatest looking games ever, which is amazing considering the consoles are almost a decade old.

The issue here is that in an attempt to keep the gameplay identical on both generations, Ubisoft diverted a lot of the horsepower away from the graphics and they’re worrying future Watch Dogs owners. Compare the two below.

Current Systems:

Next-Generation Systems:

Of course the next-generation system graphics will outdo the current systems 9 times out of 10, but the separation between the two here is, quite frankly, astounding and makes Watch Dogs for the PS3 and 360 look like a GTA: San Andreas mod.

Whilst the PS4 version of Watch Dogs is everything I’ve wanted from a console, the PS3 version lights a fire under my lazy bum to get a PS4. Does the Watch Dogs gameplay on the current systems make you cringe as it made me? Do you honestly not care and await the innovation of the title? Or do you simply just not give two ducks?
