Warlords of Draenor Release Date to be Announced

If you’ve been waiting on the release date reveal for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, Blizzard just announced the date for when the release date of the anticipated expansion will be announced and it’s coming soon.

Hosted by Blizzard Entertainment’s Mike Morhaime, Chris Metzen, Ion Hazzikostas and Brian Holinka, the cinematic of Warlords of Draenor will be revealed on August 14th, at the Ace Theatre in Los Angeles.

This will be followed, inevitably, with the release date of the expansion that sees adventurers of Azeroth venture into the savage world of Draenor to stop the impending invasion of the Iron Horde. And they do this with shiny new character models! Well, all except the Blood Elves who have to wait until sometime after launch to enjoy their new look.

The free event will also feature live developer interviews and the debut of the first animated episode of a new lore mini-series titled, ‘Lords of War‘. It presumably will be like the previous Burdens of Shaohao series that Blizzard released toward the tail end of Mists of Pandaria. Here’s hoping that it’s more animated than picturesque.

Blizzard is also offering a beta key to anyone and everyone that attends the event in person.

So, if you’re going to be in Los Angeles on August 14th (Thursday), head on over to the Ace Theatre at 9:30 am PDT. The doors open at 8:30 am and seating is limited, so join the line early if you want to get the best seats and score beta access.
