The War Of The Worlds: More Screen Shots, More Concept Art, More Sir Patrick Stewart

Reverb Inc. has released some new screen shots, concept art, and video to whet our appetites for the release of their upcoming platformer, The War Of The Worlds.  This 2D side-scroller, which is very reminiscent of games like Out Of This World, Prince Of Persia, and Limbo, is a dark and intense take on the classic H.G. Wells novel. The events take place within the same time frame as the 1953 film adaptation, focusing on a new character, Arther Clarke, who is voiced by the one and only Sir Patrick Stewart.  You control Arthur as he struggles to reach his family and assist in repelling the Martian invasion.

Check out the newly released concept art and screen shots below, as well as the included “Arthur Diaries” video for some gameplay footage and Patrick Stewart awesomeness. The War Of The Worlds will be releasing on both PSN and XBLA later this year.
