War, Revenge, and Villians – Weekly Movie Trailer Recap

A bit of an intimidating title, huh? Not to worry, these new trailers are nothing to fear. In fact, they will bring back nostalgia, excitement, and laughs. Time for another helping of fresh movie trailers to get you ready for 2017’s film slate in this edition of Weekly Movie Trailer Recap.

Hello and welcome back to another week of new movie trailers for your Weekly Movie Trailer Recap! Fun fact, this is the first week that there is not a comic book trailer to be shown. That’s okay though, there is still plenty of awesome to be had for these four trailers about to come your way. Let’s get to it!

Dunkirk

To start off the awesome is Christopher Nolan’s next film Dunkirk. We got our first brief look at the July 21st, 2017 release earlier this year but just in time for the holiday movie season we get a full length trailer. I know I am excited for this movie as Nolan has not let me down yet with any of his movies. Plus, his work with those IMAX cameras is top notch. No other director has been able to match that. This will be one to watch for sure.

Blade Runner 2049

The next trailer on the list is actually an ‘announcement’ which is interesting. As far as I am concerned it is a trailer and our first look at the upcoming sci-fi sequel Blade Runner 2049. Here is where the nostalgia kicks in and as a fan of the original I am both thrilled and nervous for the sequel. The setting and the aesthetics are gorgeous and it will be a treat to revisit the world of Blade Runner. You can visit Blade Runner 2049 in theaters on October 6th, 2017.

John Wick: Chapter 2

Everyone’s favorite hitman, John Wick, is back and this time his puppy (hopefully) survives. Revenge stories are always a blast to see unfold on the big screen and John Wick was no exception to the rule. With the original being ruthless and brutal, John Wick: Chapter 2 has quite the act to follow. Judging from the new trailer that doesn’t seem to be an issue and on February 10th, 2017 we can confirm that for ourselves.

Despicable Me 3

Here is yet another sequel for your viewing pleasure. Dreamworks is releasing Felonius Gru: Chapter 3 this June 30th, 2017. Oh wait, that’s not right. I clearly meant Despicable Me 3. This third installment of the hilarious villain-gone-hero feature looks to be another great sequel. As seen in the trailer, Balthazar Bratt is shaping up to be a hilarious, 80’s style and music spewing villain that actually made me laugh out loud from the trailer. That does not happen often for me! That alone makes me excited for Despicable Me 3.

Another Weekly Movie Trailer Recap down with 4 new trailers under your belt. Now you can be the cool one at the water cooler at work to talk about the latest trailers. I hope you enjoyed the trailers and look forward to seeing you next week for even more trailers!
