For this week’s video game inspired makeup look, I created “Oceanside”, a look based on the cool-toned color scheme of Pokemon GO. Driven by the fact that I have yet to catch any water Pokemon (that city struggle!), I chose to center this look around soft, metallic blue tones reminiscent of a day by the water.
The products used to create this look were Sephora’s 2014 Pantone Universe palette (shade “Ensign Blue”), the Urban Decay Ammo palette (shade “Shattered”), and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist palette (shade “Phresh”). The shadows were all blended together using a 19 Sephora Pro Crease Brush, which is by far the best shadow blending brush that I’ve ever used.
In order to add the white “freckles” on the outer corners of the eyes, I simply took white face paint and applied it with a Real Techniques liner brush, and applied the same product to create a solid and saturated white lip. For more details on how this look went down, watch the video above!
And in case you missed last week’s video game makeup tutorial, I did something inspired by one of my favorite developers – CD Projekt Red – take a look!
