She-Vengers Assemble! Marveling At Photo Manipulation

Ever wondered what the Avengers would have looked like if women played most starring roles? We all know that Scarlett Johansson owned the role of the dangerous beauty Black Widow, but when it comes to the other Avengers, could they have been played just as well if acted by women? With this photo manipulation, it’s gives us a look into what could have been…

Now, hold on, this isn’t a feminism post. I’m not complaining about how there’s only one female Avenger, when they had the opportunity to bring in so many more. I’m going to keep those comments to myself, save them for another time, don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted. What this article is actually about, is dreaming up the ‘what could have beens’ and ‘what ifs’.

What if Amber Heard played the majestic Thora, instead of Chris Hemsworth? What if Sandra Bullock played the Queen of her Domain Iron Maiden, instead of Robert Downey Jr. What if Rachel Weisz played the hazardous Lady Hulk, instead of… uh… well, if we’re talking about the Avengers, then Mark Ruffalo. The possibilities are endless; the opportunities are there, film developers just have to take them.

If you’d like to see the original posts of the She-Vengers, check out the ‘If Women Ruled The Earth’ photo manipulation series made by the talented Josh. You can find his website here.

Hey, whilst the Avengers will never be dominated by women, maybe there’s a chance that we will get a cast of empowered female superheroes, such as the Birds of Prey. Come on, how cool would that be? I’d so be watching that.

You can show your support for these marvelous creations by either posting in the comments below or by visiting Josh’s page and letting him know!
