With just under three weeks away from the title’s launch, Ubisoft Montpellier’s has released a brand new video diary on upcoming Puzzle-Adventure Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
Described by the studio as “not a war game, but a game about war,” the team has put a lot of effort into telling a story that’s meaningful to the player. Through the eyes of different characters in the conflict, the game will be showing varying perspectives of people that will witness emotionally taxing sequences throughout the entirety of the story.
As our preview for Valiant Hearts spoke to before, the title is looking to make a unique connection with gamers through events and story telling hooks that are often glossed over in many major releases as steps to simply get through to the end. The game will be exploring what it means to not only witness the death of people around you but also what it takes to survive such experiences when the solution isn’t simply to dual wield a pair of machine guns.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be appearing at E3 in a week and will then be releasing on June 25th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC for $14.99.
