Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Dishonored 2 are surely within the “Wanted” list of a lot of action lovers out there, while some others want to see what Ubisoft has accomplished with Watchdogs 2. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: November 4

Call of Duty goes wild and into sidereal space with Infinite Warfare. This thirteenth installment of the franchise is the first one in venturing deeper into the limits of our Solar system, therefore changing the tune and the general technology that we have seen until now. Of course, this will extend beyond to affect gameplay, with the introduction of zero-gravity environments and high-speed aerial combat.

There’s a single-player campaign that revolves around a special combat reckon group facing the main bad guys, a major overhaul for its multiplayer mode and… tons of zombies, of course. Yes, whenever defending the solar system becomes too boring or cliche for you, you can jump into a the Zombies in Spaceland with three friends and spread chaos amidst funky attractions and neon lights.

Mario Party: Star Rush

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: Nintendo 3DS
Release Date: November 4

If you think that Mario Party could not add anything new to the formula, you may be wrong. The next installment of the Mario Party franchise for the Nintendo 3DS removes the typical turn-based gameplay and gives extra freedom of movement to its characters. This means that all players can move simultaneously and explore the different corners of the game board without following a single, pregenerated path. The rest of the game spirit remains same, making it a nice addition to all Mario Party fans.

Dishonored 2

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: November 11

Time to make room for one of the most awaited sequels of the year. Dishonored 2 comes ready to match the high rank attained by its predecessor and take the Dishonored experience to the next level. Some people who have already tasted it mention that this is definitely Emily’s game but the truth is, you can play both with her or Corvo Attano. Story-wise, Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the events of the first game. We’ll find the Empire fully sunken in turmoil as Emily loses her throne to an ugly usurper and, as an outlaw in her own society, tries to win it back.

The game is bringing more ways of pursuing missions, making it possible to finish it as a stealth master or indulging in violent rampages. Another nifty addition is the presence of a skill tree with different specializations and upgrades. The Chaos system has also been revamped and different volumes of Chaos for our characters will have an affect on their dialogues and their relationship with the world surrounding them.

Watch Dogs 2

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: November 15 (November 29 for PC)

Watch Dogs 2 is finally arriving to stores, ready to show that Ubisoft has learnt from their past experiences and revised their own hack-and-conquer open world playground. The game is set in San Francisco and follows the steps of Marcus, a witty and talented hacker with a whole new collection of gadgets in his closet. From drone and mini 4-wheel piloting to complicated hacking schemes, Watch Dogs 2 has definitely grown in gameplay possibilities. Its seamlessly shift between single-player and multiplayer modes is also an interesting addition to expand on them, Bounty PvP scenarios included.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: November 15

Ezio Auditore da Firenze is one of the most iconic assassins of the Brotherhood. So it kind of makes sense for Ubisoft to push for a special Ezio Collection that will not only bring lots of bonus on top but also a revamped experience for last gen consoles. The Ezio Collection brings all single-player campaigns and add-on contents from Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Ezio’s complete story is that one of betrayal and revelation. It takes us on a journey that spans centuries and great civilizations, from Renaissance Rome to the heart of the Ottoman Empire.

Pokémon Sun & Moon

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: Nintendo 3DS
Release Date: November 18

Pokémon Sun and Moon is already the most pre-ordered game in the history of Nintendo. That should not come as a surprise, hinting to the great expectation that surrounds this next installment. In this occasion, the game is based in the colorful Alola region. As such, Pokemon Sun and Moon will introduce Alolan forms of previous generation Pokémon (Hawaiian vibes ftw!). Of course, it does not stop there. The two games bring new species, new battle and training mechanics and new types of powerful moves. All in all, an interesting continuation to the series that comes right on time for the 20th anniversary celebrations.

Amnesia: Collection

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PlayStation 4
Release Date: November 22

Once upon a time, a creepy game called Amnesia: The Dark Descent, made its way to Steam. Its proposition was rather simple: escape a labyrinthine castle by avoiding monsters and solving puzzles. However, this first person horror game hit excellent critical ratings on all charts due to its atmosphere and consistent terror strings. Amnesia is something way scarier than scary. It’s a whirlpool down to madness…and it will make you cry.

The only drawback? That both the first game plus its subsequent add-on (Amnesia: Justine) and sequel (Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs) were only reachable via Steam. This ends this November as their creators are putting out a digital collection for all PlayStation 4 users out there.

Final Fantasy XV

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: November 29

Final Fantasy XV has suffered from a delay of two months but here it is! The fifteenth installment of Square Enix’s most famous saga is almost ready to hit worldwide stores. Final Fantasy XV bets high on exploration and “open-worldness” and it’s giving players full reign on the world from the very beginning. The pace of the combats has changed (although there’s the Waiting Mode for nostalgics), magic offers a whole new level of customization and the overall visuals look stunning. The fully customizable car looks pretty awesome as well but don’t cha’ worry. You can still ride chocobos until infinity and beyond.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier

Upcoming Games November 2016

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One
Release Date: November ??

Last but not least, we could not finish our list without mentioning the next Telltale adventure. We all know the studio to follow the tradition of keeping their launch dates rather hidden until last-minute notice… But everything pinpoints to Season 3 of The Walking Dead happening before the month is over. In A New Frontier we’ll catch up with Clementine as she keeps on growing within a world full of zombies and nasty fellow humans. Plus, this third season is taking advantage of the revamped Telltale’s engine, something that without a doubt will accompany this interactive story very well.

Let’s Not Forget our Hardware Releases

While not being technically games, keep also track of the November releases for the PlayStation 4 Pro ($299.99 USD) and the miniature NES ($59.99). Coincidence or not, they do come out with only a day of difference. PlayStation 4 Pro arrives on November 10 and it’s Sony’s next step in closing the gap between their console’s current performance and more powerful games. Its strong GPU and faster CPU make it an interesting purchase since a great deal of existing games will be patching shortly to make use of this technology.

On the other hand, the miniature NES comes on November 11 and keeping clearly Nintendo romantics in mind. It’s a tiny NES that you can connect to your TV via a HDMI cable. The iconic NES gamepad can also be used to play games on a Wii or Wii U. Moreover, it brings 30 classic NES games, including among others Castlevania, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda.
