Upcoming Games March 2017

What’s up, Fanatics? We are leaving the month of February behind and you know that this means, right? There is a new line-up of awesome titles waiting for us down the March road! We imagine some of you are counting the days for March 3rd and the Nintendo Switch, too. We’ve been counting with you.

Hold your wallets close and let’s see what the next month has to offer. Off we go!

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Breath of the Wild

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Wii U
Release Date: March 3

Our fanatical hearts stir specially with this one. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is certainly one of the most anticipated games of 2017, and rightly so. Everything we have seen of it looks brilliant and oozes that familiar feeling of the series we have grown up with. Breath of the Wild is the 17th installment of the saga but Nintendo is taking a different path with it.

Its title reflects the experience, too. We´ll find a “wilder”, wider gameplay, featuring a really open-world environment that is twelve times bigger than its predecessors. This time emphasis is put on exploration so strict order on dungeons no longer exist. All in all, Breath of the Wild tries to bring a more personal experience to that Link within us.

Wait for our full review, coming soon!

Nier: Automata

Nier Automata

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4
Release Date: March 7

Another big title coming from Japan, courtesy of PlatinumGames and Square Enix. Nier: Automata is an action RPG that continues the events of Nier (2010). Set in an post-apocalyptic Earth torn apart by machines, we follow the adventures of a female, human-like combat android and her two companions as they launch an incursion and start discovering some unsettling truths. If you like compelling stories, action-based combats and that Japanese touch, you´ll probably enjoy Automata.

Lego Worlds

Lego Worlds

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 7

Hey Lego, meet Minecraft. Lego Worlds is the sandbox version of the famous construction toys saga. Take up those Lego bricks and build, build, build until infinity and beyond, all sorts of structures. Use the editor tools to create the next Empire State building or simply squash mountains down so you can move easily with your vehicle. The Nintendo Switch version is in the works as well and will be released later on.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ghost Recon Wildlands

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 7

The Ghost Recon series is back into action. This time, we’re delving in the beats of an open world environment. Ghost Recon Wildlands brings back the old vibes of the series and distances itself from futuristic surroundings, placing the players in a fictionalized version of Bolivia. Ubisoft has claimed that this game features one of the biggest open world games that they have ever published. Some of us who played the beta simply loved it, giving us high hopes for the game’s release.

Death Squared

Death Squared

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 7

Out indie pick of the month. Death Squared is presented as a “multiplayer puzzle game with robot explosions.” Okay, you have our attention. The game supports up to 4 players and presents tons of different puzzles that need solving. Each players takes up the role of a colorful robot in a path full of traps and perils and must cooperate with the others of they all want to survive.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect Andromeda

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 21

Everyone, say hello to the Andromeda Initiative. Mass Effect: Andromeda does not need much introduction. Bioware finally brings their next title on board, a franchise changer in their Sci-Fi Odyssey. We leave Sheppard and the Reapers behind as we venture into a mysterious world beyond our galaxy. Don´t worry too much though: you´ll still have Krogans.

In Mass Effect: Andromeda, we´ll be following the steps of the Ryder siblings, the Pathfinders, as they try to secure colonist enterprises in uncharted territories. Its creators may have ditched the morality system (a step not lacking controversy) but they are expanding on other fronts as well. Exploration is big on this one, combats feel great and there’ll be plenty of options to fraternize with crew members. Also, the Makko makes its return. We hope it’s more stable than ever!

Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City

The Ringed City

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 28

Not necessarily a game per se, but solid enough to make it into the list. The Ringed City is the second and final DLC for Dark Souls 3. This concluding chapter has players chasing after the Slave King Gael to the end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity. It certainly does not get better than this. There are new maps, new weapons and new luring characters to engage with. All in all, a must-do experience for all lone adventurers out there.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix

Kingdom Hearts

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 28

We close our list with a collection of six remastered titles that may be worth your attention. Regardless of whether you’re a die hard fan or if you’ve yet to experience Kingdom Hearts, this is a release worth keeping an eyeon. Square Enix is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts with this HD collection. It’s the ultimate compilation as it includes the following titles: Kingdom Hearts, Re: Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth by Sleep and Re:coded.
