Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has an Official Release Date

Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated Uncharted 4 finally has an official release date. According to a PlayStation blog post uploaded today by David Bull, the Brand Manager for Sony Entertainment Company, Nathan Drake will be returning in A Thief’s End on March 18, 2016. Along with the news of an official release date, Bull also announces in his post what fans of the Uncharted series can expect from the two different collector’s editions that Naughty Dog will be offering.

Should you pre-order Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Special Edition for $79.99 USD, you will receive the following:

  • A Blu-Ray copy of the game
  • A collectible steel book case, designed by Alexander Iaccarino
  • A hardcover artbook by Dark Horse and Naughty Dog, that spans across 48 pages
  • Naughty Dog Points: A new and exclusive in-game currency that the player can use to unlock new multiplayer content

The second bundle that was announced was the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Libertalia Collector’s Edition.  For $119.99 USD, you will receive the following:

  • Everything from the Special Edition noted above
  • A 12” exclusive Nathan Drake statue made by the creators at Gentle Giant
  • Three multiplayer outfits – Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Heist Drake, and Desert Drake
  • Two Custom Weapon Skins – The Golden Weapon Skin and the Desert Weapon Skin
  • Henry Avery Sigil Ball Cap
  • Madagascar sidekicks outfits

Bull continued to deliver good news when he assured that special edition bonuses will be available in a digital edition as well. “For those of you who prefer to own your games digitally, you’ll also be able to download the Uncharted 4 Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99 USD, $99.99 CAD) from PlayStation Store. The Digital Deluxe version will be available for pre-order on the store later this week, but here’s a look at what’s included. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s available.”

If you already have A Thief’s End pre-ordered digitally on the PSN, you can easily upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition for $20 more. The following is what is included when you pre-order this version:

  • A digital copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (which will have a pre-download feature so that you may begin your adventure minutes after its release on March 18, 2016)
  • The Triple Pack which will give you early access to the first story add-on when it is available and two multiplayer packs (This will also be available as a separate add-on purchase)
  • And two multiplayer customization items will be available to the player immediately

So, there you have it folks. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be in our PS4’s and on shelves by March 18, 2016.
