As we go into the final stretch of the holiday rush, one thing has busted the UK charts for the second straight year. In three words: Call of Duty. The lastest entry in the war FPS series, Call of Duty: Black Ops, has done the same thing as Modern Warfare 2 did last year, with FIFA 11 taking the usual high spot at #2.
What’s surprising about the weekly figures is that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit zipped past a ton of competition at breakneck speed to net third place (after being at seventh in last week’s figures). That’s a four-fold last-minute holiday sales boost, folks! And to finally round out the top five, Ubisoft puts down its mark with Just Dance 2 and Assasins Creed : Brotherhood, respectively.
