Ubisoft, Raptr Team Up For Assassin's Creed III Bonuses

Assassin’s Creed III owners that use the Raptr service are about to get some extra mileage out of the game, thanks to a partnership with Ubisoft.

Raptr has announced that gamers that play Assassin’s Creed III while logged into the service – basically a social media and networking site for gamers – will get some free rewards just for completing in-game missions and unlocking achievements or trophies. The type of reward varies depending on if you’re playing on Xbox 360, PS3, or PC:

Xbox 360 gamers can unlock a Bald Eagle Avatar Pet and Connor’s outfit for your Avatar.

PC gamers can unlock the Hidden Secrets and Battle Hardened DLC packs.

PS3 gamers get the most, scoring a “treasure chest” full of AC games and DLC. including two full Assassin’s Creed games.

Naturally, the disparity between the rewards has some – mainly Xbox 360 users – upset, as the announcement’s comment section shows. It’s unknown why PS3 gamers are getting more out of the deal, but Ubisoft has shown in the past they’re a bit partial to Sony‘s system — the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed III, after all, got the Benedict Arnold DLC for free.

Regardless, if you’ve got Assassin’s Creed III in your library, you just may want to give Raptr’s promotion a look.
