This week Ubisoft® announced that Assassin’s Creed® Liberation HD (part of the pre–American Revolution segment of the Assassin’s Creed® time line) is now available for download on PlayStation®Network, Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 games and Windows PC.
Complete with all the features you expect in an HD remastering, namely stunning high definition, but also including improved gameplay mechanics and missions. Being that we’re looking at a price point of only $19.99, if you’re into the Assassin’s Creed games, this is an installment that’ll be pretty easy to get your hands on.
As for the game itself? Players will control Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga. Players will utilize Aveline’s skill, instinct and weaponry – including a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, a whip and dueling pistols – to hunt down and eliminate her enemies. Basically, pretty standard Assassin’s Creed action. Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will take players from the crowded streets of New Orleans through voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins.
Stealth combat action in environments that are not often seen in the gaming medium? Sounds good to me.
