These Tweets Perfectly Sum Up the New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Trailer

The new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer has just dropped, and many have taken to Twitter to express their opinions.

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer has revealed a game that has taken the Advanced Warfare setting and took it a step forward. Advanced Warfare introduced science fiction type weapons and abilities into a series that’s mostly known for it’s penchant toward gritty realistic warfare – killing zombies not withstanding. Now, Call of Duty players will find themselves out in the final frontier, dog-fighting with other space ships. Some twitter users have already poked some fun at the space setting:

That made us lol.

While other users seem a little optimistic about the graphics -or not, sarcasm is hard to gauge online.

There’s also some sprinkles of pessimism that usually come with the announcement of a new Call of Duty game.

However, the trailer also announced that it will come bundled with the remastered version of the seminal Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. A quick look at the twitter feed will reveal that a lot of gamers are more excited for this remastering than they are for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare:

Many tweets expressed their desire to buy the new game only to get the remastered version of Call of Duty 4. When Call of Duty 4 was released it became one of the most popular games ever created. The game can possibly be blamed for the overwhelming popularity of the series itself. It’s interesting to see the last few moments on the trailer being the most exciting and talked about part. It almost seems as if the gaming audience has become cold toward Call of Duty, and wish for it to return to its past rather than surge forward to the science fiction future. Nonetheless, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is probably going to sell very well, even if the big sales are a result of it being bundled with an older, more popular game. Both games will be available worldwide on November 4th of this year, and is developed by Infinity Ward.
